Wintersaber Trainers

Description

This small group of reclusive night elves raises and trains wintersabers in the Winterspring area.

More info

The Wintersaber Trainers is an Alliance-only faction in Winterspring. Currently, the only questgiver is Rivern Frostwind, who is located at the top of Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring. Upon reaching exalted with this faction, Rivern will give you Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber.

This faction's mount is the only epic mount (100% riding speed) attainable in the game which only requires 75 riding skill. They Grow Up So Fast, can be obtained at level 50. The faction used to be noted for having no Horde counterpart, as well as having the longest and most repetitive reputation grind of the entire game. However, things have drastically changed in 4.1.

In Wrath, a Horde equivalent was added: Whistle of the Venomhide Ravasaur. Obtaining this mount required players to do a certain number of quests each day, instead of a painful reputation grind. In 4.1, the Alliance equivalent was changed to match this easier model.

Reputation

At Neutral, players obtain Get Them While They're Young, and immediately after, They Grow Up So Fast. It will take a minimum of 20 days for players to complete this quest, as they will get sub-quests each day that reward 1 Winterspring Cub Whisker each. Players will randomly get one of the following quests: 'Borrowing' From the Winterfall, A Cub's Cravings, Cub's First Toy, Hunting Practice. Each of these quests rewards 1,500 reputation.

After 20 days, you'll hit Exalted, getting both Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber and Cub's First Toy upon completion of They Grow Up So Fast.
