More info

The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza is a test of fishing skill with a healthy dash of luck. Every Sunday, beginning at 2:00 PM PST and ending at 5:00 PM PST, players can try to be the first to catch 40 Speckled Tastyfish found along the coast of Northern Stranglethorn.

Riggle Bassbait can be found in Booty Bay anxiously waiting for the first three skilled fisherman to return with 40 Speckled Tastyfish to Riggle Bassbait, proving themselves winner of the Fishing Extravaganza! If you aren't the first to catch and return the Speckled Tastyfish, don't fret - the second and third place winners also get Master Angler of Azeroth, and you can sell your remaining Tastyfish to Jang!

If you happened to be one of the lucky fishermen to catch a special, uncommon quality event fish you can turn it in to Fishbot 5000 for an extremely cool reward:You can also fish up the distinctive Rockhide Strongfish weapon!

There are some changes to the tournament in Patch 5.1. It offers competitors a chance to earn the rewards once offered by the the Kalu'ak Fishing Derby ( Dread Pirate Ring, Boots of the Bay), as that has been removed due to CRZ complications. In addition, Speckled Tastyfish fishing pools no longer spawn during the tournament. Tastyfish can now be caught from any fishing node in all parts of Stranglethorn Vale while the tournament is active.

Winner's Rewards

First, second, and third place winners all get Master Angler of Azeroth.
