Gilneas is the faction associated with Gilneas, the evacuated capital city of the Worgen. Genn Greymane, affected by the curse of the worgen, now resides in Stormwind Keep, next to King Varian Wrynn.
In Cataclysm, Gilneas underwent many hardships. Sylvanas Windrunner was ordered to invade Gilneas to expand Horde territory. In addition, the curse of the Worgen rapidly spread among the habitants, and it was only through the aid of the night elves that those cursed could retain their human minds. After the death of Liam, Genn's son, Greymane decided to evacuate the city and seek sanctuary in Darnassus.
Currently, the Worgen have not reclaimed their capital city, and efforts to fight the Forsaken in Silverpine Forest have ended in defeat.
Gilneas Tabard which grants reputation in all dungeons.
Large amounts of Gilneas reputation can be gained in the following zones: Duskwood, Felwood, Gilneas (Worgen-only), Shadowfang Keep. There is also Gilneas Writ of Commendation from the Molten Front.

After the Second War, Genn Greymane constructed the Greymane Wall, which separated Gilneas from Lordaeron, to isolate Gilneas from petty politics that concerned other nations.In Cataclysm, Gilneas underwent many hardships.
