Mark of the World Tree, unlike most currencies, are not used as much for purchasing items directly as they are instead used to unlock progression in the new Regrowth and Molten Front daily quest hubs. As players progress through the new daily quests they are also given quests to turn in certain quantities of Mark of the World Tree in order to unlock the next series of daily quests. 31 Marks can be acquired daily, once everything is unlocked.

Once all phases have been unlocked, vendors become available who sell various rewards in exchange for gold--ilvl 365 epics, vanity pets, and neat flavor items like Mylune's Call. Excess Mark of the World Tree can then be used to purchase Writ of Commendation, used to increase your reputation with major city factions (such as Orgrimmar, Ironforge, etc.) by 250. Players can also spend 30 Mark of the World Tree on Zen'Vorka's Cache, which has a small chance to contain Scorched Stone.
